Rylie’s 8 Month Transformation

Big shout out to this legend who just finished 8 months on the Youth YOU Program. When I first met him he was lost and heavily addicted to xanax, depressed, anxious and in and out of psych wards due to heavy psychosis.

He now stands tall, clean off drugs, happy, fit and healthy. He is now employed and doing the things he loves.

The transformation from this guy has been huge and I wish him nothing but the best in life. It was so good seeing the smile on his face, his sisters and his mums.

Keep at it bro. You got this and your future is looking up 🙌🙏

6 years ago my mum took me to meet Glenn, I didn’t know what to think I didn’t even know if I was ready to get clean but after a couple of serious run ins with the police I knew I had to try something. I’d previously been to rehab and spoken with psychologists, I thought I knew what I was walking into... When I met Glenn he was the complete opposite of what I expected!.. he was young, he had cool shoes on 🤣 he swore 🙊 and I felt so comfortable!... I signed up!!! I learnt some valuable tools in mentoring, I trained as much as I could and I really wanted to change!... A few months in I did relapse, this time I feel further, I pushed my family away, I had nothing left.. my best friend died in an accident and I just wanted to fade away.. I remembered the tools I’d learnt in mentoring with Glenn. I started to implement them, I started back with the program, regained my families trust and I started working on myself for real. I’m now 5 years clean, I’m engaged and my partner and I brought our first home together last year. I’m a manager at a well known company and I’m happy and healthy, I enjoy life and I’m so grateful for all the hard work.
I began using ice in 2015 off and on. More on than off. Soon after i saw criminal activity and got caught up in the wrong crowd. Again they accepted me because now I was one of them. My true friends so I thought. All this time my family watched me and begged and pleaded with me to stop. My parents always prayed for me. Relationships with my brother began to break down. Relationships with men were not successful. Everything was a mess. I found myself in a very dark place. Staying in bed or in my room. I found Glenn and contacted him. I agreed to meet with Glenn at the end of 2016. I will never forget the meeting such a lovely man but then i thought I could overcome this addiction without him. The next 3 to 4 years saw criminal activity drug use and the law chasing me. Court case after court case.Always successfully gaining employment but not being able to keep the job 2019 was a very rough year but also the year that would change my life for the better I met my current partner in August of 2019. I had been on bail for sometime and had a court case early November which saw me imprisoned for 5 weeks. My partner and parents stood by me the entire time. Praying never giving up on me. Released mid December and by court order ordered to live away from home and undertake the youth you program. This was the blessing that I didn’t reliase Began the youth you program in January 2020 and completed the program November 2020 This is where I was learnt self love self acceptance and learnt to focus on the positive things in life. Focusing on my mind and body. Rebuilding life without drugs The journey was not easy at the start but it’s rewarding a life drug free. Freedom from addiction. Not hurting yourself or the people whom really love and believe in you. Find God and my faith again has also helped. Understanding whom your true friends are 2020 also was such a blessing married and expecting a child in February 2021. I will forever be grateful for Glenn the youth you program, my parents, my faith and now the loving man I can call my husband.
